Employee & Family Assistance Program
CN recognizes that employees' personal problems may result in inadequate job performance, absenteeism, impaired health, and the possibility of imperiled safety for themselves, other employees or the general public. The Company wants employees to seek help when confronted by life situation difficulties and to offer the appropriate help to resolve such problems through the Company's Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP).
The EFAP is available to any active employee or family member covered by the benefits plan of CN or its subsidiaries in Canada. Owner/Operators and their dependents are also eligible. Employees on layoff and subject to recall, or on medical, maternity/parental or other approved leave, may still receive EFAP help.
Employees who are dismissed for alcohol and drug violations (other than for illegal acts) may be covered as are their families. In such cases, please contact efapadmin@cn.ca.
Confidentiality is the cornerstone of EFAP.
How to Contact EFAP Services:
Employees can access EFAP by various methods, such as downloading My EAP App on a device, EFAP services on EPortal or by phoning 1-800-268-5211. They can also access online via Morneau Shepell Online Services.
Often when we are dealing with life's problems, what we need is information. This is now easier with the addition of a link to the web site of our service provider Morneau Shepell. Accessing this link will connect you to information and other web sites dealing with a number of subjects.
Visit Morneau Shepell Online Services and browse as a guest or enter your company name "Canadian National" and create your own user name and password to register your account.
